Checkpoint 16's mission is to grow the sport of adventure racing by making it more accessible to racers of all experience levels. 

In pursuit of this mission, Checkpoint 16 maintains a variety of resources designed to meet the needs of racers, race directors, and the industries that support outdoor adventure sports. Some of these resources include:

• Easy-to-navigate adventure sports calendars,
• Public discussion forums for advice-sharing and teammate-finding,
• Advice and Guidance sections organized by topic,
• Product reviews, and
• A "directors only" section to enhance cross-discipline collaboration.
